Please take a moment to learn more about us. Founded in 1865 by Elbridge Van Syckel, the company is one of the oldest active real estate companies in the country. In 1905, Thomas D. Van Syckel succeeded in managing the company and established an additional office in New York City. T. Sanford Van Syckel took over the company in 1935 and in 1966 was joined by his son, Thomas S. Van Syckel who currently heads Van Syckel Insurance. At this time Joseph Gorsky, Rich Weaver and Steven Lyte operate the real estate company, which was expanded in 1976. Most recently, ERA Van Syckel, Weaver & Lyte developed a new regional headquarters which they began to occupy in October of 1998. This fine facility is complimented by a hard working, dedicated staff of professionals and support personnel, who have earned local and national awards for production, spirit and service. The company is extremely proud of their national award winners and associates who exemplify the ‘1st in Service’ credo each and every day.
